Objective:

The objective of “3 In a Row” is to knock down all three skittles in sequential order: first one skittle, then two skittles, and finally all three skittles, to win the game.

Setup:

1. Playing Area:

  • Place a block and a cup at one end of the playing area.
  • Place three skittles in a row at an angle towards the block.
  • Position your pucks at the opposite end of the playing area from the block.

2. Initial Setup:

  • Ensure that the skittles are evenly spaced and aligned in a straight row.
  • Place your pucks within reach at your end of the playing area.

Aim of the Game:

To be the player who knocks down one skittle, then two skittles, and finally all three skittles in sequence, in the fewest flicks to win.

Gameplay:

1. Turn Order:

Decide who will start the game. You can flip a puck like a coin or use any other method to determine the starting player.

2. Taking Turns:

Players take turns flicking their pucks from their side of the playing area towards the skittles.

The goal is to knock down the skittles in the following sequence:

  1. On your first turn, aim to knock down one skittle.
  2. On your second turn, aim to knock down two skittles simultaneously.
  3. On your third turn, aim to knock down all three skittles simultaneously.

3. Rules for Skittles:

  • If you successfully knock down the required number of skittles for your turn, reset the skittles in the same row formation for your next attempt.
  • If you fail to knock down the required number of skittles, your turn ends, and it’s the next player’s turn.
  • If any skittles remain standing after a turn, they should be reset to their original positions before the next turn begins.

4. Winning the Game:

The first player to successfully complete all three stages (knocking down one skittle, then two, and finally all three) wins the game.

If a player accidentally knocks down more skittles than required (e.g., knocking down two skittles when only one was required), the turn is considered a failure, and the skittles are reset for the next player.

Additional Tips:

Precision and control are key to winning this game. Take your time to aim and flick your puck with the right amount of force.

Adjust the angle and position of your flick to ensure you can hit the skittles as required.

Practice different flicking techniques to improve your accuracy and consistency.
