Cops ‘n’ Robbers

Objective:

The robber has just robbed a bank and needs to escape quickly. The cops are hot on their tail. The aim of the game is simple: if you’re the robber, avoid getting hit by the cops and try to escape by flicking your puck into the home block. If you’re a cop, your goal is to capture and arrest the robber by hitting their puck with yours.

Setup:

1. Place a block at one end of the play area, this is the robber’s home.
2. Place the skull card in front of the block.
3. Scatter block obstacles around the play area to create hiding places.

How to Play:

2 Player Game Mode:

• The robber always starts first and gets two flicks for every one flick the cop gets.
• Decide who will be the robber and establish a starting point (the bank).
• The robber flicks twice to try to escape or hide behind obstacles, or even try to hit the block to win.
• Then the cop takes one flick to try to catch or hit the robber.
• If the robber lands on the skull card without hitting the block, the cop gets two flicks.
• If the robber flicks their puck into the home block, they win. If the cop hits the robber, the cops win.

3 or More Players:

• Everyone except one player is a robber.
• Robbers all get two flicks for every one flick the cop gets.
• The aim for robbers remains the same: evade the cop and escape to the home block.
• When the cop hits a robber, that robber becomes a cop as well and must hunt down the remaining robbers.
• If a robber lands on the skull card without hitting the block, they go back to the starting point.
• Turned robbers (now cops) only have one flick per turn.

Winning:

• If the robber successfully flicks into the home block, they win and escape with their spoils.
• If a cop hits the robber, the cops win, and justice is served.

Tips:

• Robbers should use obstacles to their advantage for cover and evasion.
• Cops should strategize to corner and capture robbers efficiently.
• In multiplayer mode, teamwork among the cops can lead to more successful arrests.
